Alaska Tsunami Ocean Sciences Bowl
Feb 9 – Feb 11 all-day

2018 marks the 21st National Ocean Science Bowl regional competition in Alaska. The NOSB’s goal is to build awareness and knowledge of the ocean science through a competitive format. The Alaska Tsunami Ocean Sciences Bowl is the regional competition for Alaska high schools focusing upon relevant ocean topics. Participating teams present research papers and compete in an exciting buzzer-style quiz bowl. The winning team of the Alaska Tsunami Bowl will travel to Nationals to compete against other regional teams from all over the United States.

Iditarod & Earthquake Movie@2 Library Museum Program @ (upstairs Meeting Room on occasion)

The Iditarod Historic Trail Alliance and the Seward Community Library Association have granted the Seward Community Library & Museum permission to show their movies, Iditarod National Historic Trail: A History and Waves Over Seward. Each movie lasts 25 minutes and will be shown one after the other, daily at 2pm, Monday-Saturday, May 13-September 16 with a special showing on October 2.

The Resurrection Bay Historical Society (RBHS) will also be showing these movies on Summer Sunday’s when they open the museum 1-5pm.

Resolution 2019-012, Of The Planning And Zoning Commission Of The City Of Seward, Alaska, Amending Administrative Filing Fees For Land Management, Signs, Zoning And Platting Requests. This resolution was brought forward on June 4, 2019, but due to parliamentary procedure infractions, it is being brought forward again as if for the first time.

The Special Meeting will commence in the Seward City Council Chambers located in City Hall at 410 Adams Street, Seward. All interested persons are invited to attend the meetings
