Letters Aloud will present the series “Fame, they’re not going to live forever” at the Mariner Theatre in Homer, AK on Tuesday, November 10, 2015, at 7:30 p.m. “FAME” is a highly entertaining performance in which intimate, private letters from the famous examines the very human condition of celebrity and the lessons it teaches. Funny and poignant, with live musical accompaniment and dynamic slide show, this performance will touch your heart and lift your spirits. Homer Council on the Arts is invested in creating opportunities for members of our community to attend main stage performances and interact with the performers through outreach activities. Hospice volunteers, staff, and local high school students will be included in our outreach activity, diving a little deeper into our collaboration. This outreach will bring people from differing perspectives and experience together to share personal stories through a writing workshop guided by Letters Aloud actors. We are excited to witness how our community embraces this performance and outreach activity! On November 13 at 7:30 the local band “Work in Progress” will perform original songs about Love and Loss in the HCOA gallery. Band members include Randy and Bobby Creamer, Glen Caldwell, Mindy Lewis, and Jenny Martin.
